Beauty . . .
We see dance as an art form that will benefit your dancer for the rest of his or her life.
Respect . . .
By example Miss Wendy and her instructors teach that to be a good dancer one must respect his/herself
and those around them. Mutual respect melds easily into an atmosphere of trust.
Balance . . .
With trust comes a feeling of safety. In a safe environment our dancers can grow
balanced and strong. Dancers learn that "centering" is not just about holding the body's position but also
about balancing one's goals and obligations.
We find that balanced dancers feel free! They are free to use their imaginations, to explore a new idea, to test an old
standard. At Centre Stage they are free to make mistakes, they are free to think outside the box, they are free to laugh out
loud.
Grace . . .
Our dancers learn "flash tricks" such as triple pirouettes and grande jetes but, more
importantly, they are taught the subtleties of controlling their turns and landing their jumps.
FLASH
is fun but FINESSE is forever!
