February 1st is the beginning of a new semester at Centre Stage. This semester ends on
June 2nd, our recital date.
Although this winter has been mild it could change at any moment. If you are in doubt as to class cancelations
due to inclement weather please call the studio at 244-3710. If classes are cancelled the answering machine’s
message will tell you so. You can also listen to the Mt Vernon radio station’s listing of weather
related closings or check the studio’s website (www.centrestagestudios.net). Please
keep in mind that road conditions can be better/worse in different sections of the county. If you feel
diving is unsafe in your area please do not risk coming to class.
This month most of the recital costume will be arriving and I will be sending out notices of any balances due and,
once paid, sending the costumes home. Please put them in a safe place. In March a sign-up
notice will be placed on the door for recital tights. If you have saved recital tights from previous years
now is the time to test fit them and to check their condition.
This month all classes will begin learning choreography for the recital. It is important that your
dancer comes to class prepared with a notebook (older students) or folder (the babies and Elementary Students).
Your teacher will be giving out class notes or allotting time during class for note-taking as the case may be.
Please bring in a blank CD if you would like a copy of your dancer’s music for home practice.
